Sponsorship: major changes among the 18 Bundesliga clubs for the 2023-24 season

With four clubs under contract (22.2%), Nike is the most represented of the 10 equipment suppliers to the 18 clubs participating in the 2023-24 Bundesliga. The American brand, which was also the most represented last season (with six clubs under contract), is ahead of Puma, which equips three of the German sides, as well as adidas, Hummel and Mizuno (two clubs each).

There were only two changes of equipment suppliers during the summer: Hummel replaced Umbro for six seasons (2023-2029) at SV Werder Bremen, while Mizuno took over from Nike for five seasons (2023-2028) at FC Augsburg 1907. Also committed to VfL Bochum from 2022-23, the Japanese brand is concentrating most of its European activity in the Bundesliga, as it is committed to just one club outside Germany, SS Lazio (Serie A TIM, 2022-2027). Two extensions are worth noting: Jako's contract with VfB Stuttgart (2018-2029, €10m per year) and Nike with VfL Wolfsburg. Four contracts expire in 2023-24: Nike with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt, Kappa with FSV Mainz 05, and Puma with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
