Euro 2024/DFB: a points programme to encourage amateur clubs to develop initiatives

The Deutscher Fussball Bund, the 21 regional football leagues and DFB EURO GmbH, the DFB's commercial subsidiary dedicated to the organisation of Euro 2024, have launched a points-based programme ("DFB-Punktespiel") for Germany's more than 24,000 amateur clubs to encourage them to develop initiatives for which they can earn rewards, announced the German Football Association on 11/08/2023.

Points can be collected by clubs until 31/07/2024 by registering their actions on a dedicated platform, which offers 18 initiatives to choose from in various categories (players, coaches, referees and club life). Among the rewards on offer: meetings with the German men's and women's national teams at the DFB Campus (DFB headquarters in Frankfurt), training sessions at the men's national team's adidas base camp (in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria), training packs (mini-goals, balls and bibs) and technology packs (computers, speakers and microphones). The 1,000 clubs with the most points will each receive five national team shirts.
