Sponsorship: major changes among the 20 Serie A TIM clubs for the 2023-24 season

With three clubs each under contract (out of 20, or 15%), Kappa and Joma are the most represented equipment suppliers in the 2023-24 Serie A TIM. In total, 12 different brands will be featured on the shirts of the 20 Italian clubs (compared with 13 in 2022-23), the highest number in the European Top 5 (eight in the Premier League and LaLiga EA Sports, 10 in the Bundesliga, 11 in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats).

For the 2023-24 season, there will be three changes of kit supplier: adidas succeeds New Balance at AS Roma, Kappa replaces Castore for three seasons (2023-2026) at promoted club Genoa CFC, and Joma replaces Macron at Hellas Verona FC. The Italian brand, which equipped four clubs in 2022-23 and was thus the most present in the Italian top flight, is now supporting just two: Bologna FC 1909 (since 2001-02; €2.4m per season) and Udinese Calcio (2018-2025).

In terms of main shirt sponsorship, six clubs have a new main sponsor in 2023-24, including FC Inter Milan, which has signed a one-season deal with VoD platform Paramount+ after terminating its contract with the blockchain company…
