"The Women's World Cup 2023 generated $570m (€524m), allowing it to break even," according to Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, at the second FIFA Women's World Cup Convention held at the International Convention Centre in Sydney (Australia) on 18/08/2023. At the beginning of June 2023, FIFA announced that it had invested just over $500m (€460m) in this first edition of the 32-team Women's World Cup, including an unprecedented sum of $152m (€140m) in prize money for member associations and participating players.

Two days before the Spain-England final at Stadium Australia (75,784 capacity) in Sydney (Australia) on Sunday 20/08/2023 (kick-off at 20:00 local time, 12:00 CET), Gianni Infantino gave an initial assessment of the event, which he described as "simply the best and greatest and biggest FIFA Women's World Cup ever."
