beIN Media Group: extended partnership with Synamedia to improve the user experience in the MENA

Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group has extended its partnership with Synamedia to enhance the user experience on the group's platforms in MENA, announced the UK-based video services company on 22/08/2023.

The new features provided by Synamedia include the ability for viewers to "watch two live matches simultaneously on a single screen, pause and resume live content, record up to four programmes while watching a fifth, and direct access to YouTube - with integration of other third party streaming apps planned," explained the UK company. The interface is available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

The group had already partnered with Synamedia on the occasion of the 2022 World Cup. This partnership had enabled the addition of a 4K UHD channel to the beIN Connect platform for the broadcasting of matches of the competition.
