Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (São Paulo, Brazil) has -- at €466.7m -- the largest financial value of clubs in South America, Central America and North America, according to Forbes magazine on 04/12/2014. The study analyses both economic performance, revenues (TV rights, commercial revenues, matchday), and the value and effectiveness of the assets of clubs, such as stadiums and technical centers.

Corinthians were valued at €288.2m by Forbes in 2013. The increase of 62% in value is mainly due to the delivery of the Arena Corinthians (capacity 47,000), which hosted the opening match and a semi-final (Netherlands - Argentina) of the 2014 World Cup. The club is currently looking for a company to acquire the naming rights of the Arena Corinthians to facilitate the financing of the stadium, which cost was €325m.

There are 11 Brazilian clubs in the Top 30 clubs in the Americas in 2014. There are 7 clubs from LigaMX (Mexico), 6 from MLS (Major League Soccer, USA-CAN) and 4 in the Argentinian Primera Division.
