Rugby World Cup 2023: Starzplay (OTT) acquires exclusive broadcasting rights in the MENA region

The OTT platform Starzplay has acquired the exclusive full broadcasting rights to the Rugby World Cup 2023 (to be held in France from 08/09 to 28/10/2023) for the MENA region from World Rugby, announced the body on 23/08/2023.

Starzplay will be broadcasting all matches from the competition on its "Starzplay Sports Rugby World Cup" channel, due to launch on 01/09/2023. This streaming channel dedicated to the Rugby World Cup 2023 will also feature highlights, news, archive footage and historic matches.

The MENA broadcasting rights for the Rugby World Cup 2019 (held in Japan from 20/09 to 02/11/2019) were held by the Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group.
