La Vuelta 2023: departure from Barcelona on 26/08/2023, broadcast in more than 190 countries

The city of Barcelona (Catalonia) will host the start of the 2023 Vuelta a España, the 78^th edition of the cycling event, on Saturday 26/08/2023. The Vuelta, which will arrive in Madrid on 17/09/2023, is organised by Unipublic, a company owned by Amaury Sport Organisation, the organisers of the Tour de France.

The 2023 edition will be broadcast in over 190 countries via 24 broadcasters, including La1 in Spain, part of the public broadcasting group Radio Televisión Española (RTVE). The public broadcaster extended its rights until 2024 for an annual fee of between €3 and €4m, on 10/02/2021. The pay-TV group Eurosport is also offering full coverage of the races on its pay-TV channels for various European markets, including France, until 2025.

80% of the Tour of Spain's revenue comes from sponsorship, with the remainder coming from fees paid by the cities and TV rights (11.5%). 39 brands are partners of the event in 2023, including one "Gran Premio" partner (Carrefour), six main partners, 12 official partners, 16 suppliers, two official media and Deporvillage, the partner of the…
