DAZN: Eurosport's distribution agreement (DACH zone, Spain & Italy) extended until 2026

DAZN has extended its agreement with US media group Warner Bros. Discovery to distribute the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 pay-TV channels to its subscribers in "five key European markets" (Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy and Switzerland) until 2026, announced the OTT sports platform on 24/08/2023.

The agreement, signed on 18/07/2019 (with Discovery, prior to the merger of the latter's assets with those of Warner Media, on 11/04/2022), applied in Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy, before including Switzerland at the time of an initial renewal (for the 2020-2023 cycle), on 23/09/2020.

Subscribers to the platform in these five territories will therefore continue to enjoy "a wide range of captivating live and non-live sports content: two tennis Grand Slams (Australian Open and Roland Garros), the largest cycling tours (Tour de France, La Vuelta and Giro), lots of first-class winter and motor sports such as Dakar, Formula E or 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the 2024 Olympics Games from Paris," explained DAZN.
