FFF: an "unprecedented" investment of €18.4m to structure & develop futsal in France

"The Fédération Française de Football is making an unprecedented commitment by planning to invest nearly €18.5m in its futsal development plan for the 2022-2025 period," announced Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, on 24/08/2023.

Noël le Graët's successor presented the development plan "to pursue the structuring of futsal" alongside Philippe Lafrique, FFF executive committee member in charge of futsal growth, and Hubert Fournier, national technical director, at the FFF headquarters in Paris (FRA).

The FFF's ambition for "the 1^st school sport for girls and boys, with almost 200,000 young people playing" is based on three key areas:
• High-level sport through the national teams, in particular the French team competing in the 2024 World Cup qualifiers and the creation of the first women's French team;
• competitions, with the launch of the national U18 challenge a year after the women's challenge;
• structuring to develop training and performance in all categories."

The sum of €18.4m announced by the FFF includes the investment already made during the 2022-23 season (around €5m)…
