LALIGA EA Sports: Real Betis Balompié to raise €42.9m through a capital increase

The shareholders of Real Betis Balompié (LALIGA EA Sports) approved an increase in the club's capital of €42.9m, via the issue of 117,500 new shares at a unit price of €365.44, at an extraordinary general meeting held on 26/08/2023, announced the Spanish club the same day.

Of the 60,754 people who took part in the vote (representing 51.7% of shareholders), 56,813 (93.5%) voted in favour, 3,141 against and 800 abstained.

"We have a few months of work and commitment left to complete the different phases of the capital increase. The board appeals to the people of Betis to attend as far as they are able. This capital increase is not the solution in itself, it is a necessary step to be able to continue making Betis grow. After the increase, we must continue to work in all areas, improve revenue streams, continue to adjust expenses, rigorously comply with good governance policies and develop the stadium project as a dynamic element of the club's growth," said Ángel Haro, president of Real Betis Balompié.
