CAF TotalEnergies: Super Cup between Al Ahly SC and USM Alger in Saudi Arabia on 15/09/2023

"The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have announced Saudi Arabia to be this year's host of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2023, taking place on 15/09/2023," announced CAF on 26/08/2023.

The match will pit Al Ahly SC (Egypt), winners of the 2022-23 CAF TotalEnergies Champions League, against Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger (Algeria), winners of the CAF TotalEnergies Confederation Cup. The match will be held at the King Fahd Stadium (20,000 capacity), in the city of Taif (Hijaz, Saudi Arabia).

While the last edition of the CAF Super Cup was played on the African continent, in Morocco in 2022, the four previous editions had been held in Doha, Qatar. CAF and SAFF are bound by a five-year collaboration agreement signed on 13/05/2023.
