FFF: inauguration of the Michel-Hidalgo space (4.8 hectares) in Clairefontaine on Tuesday 05/09/2023

Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, and Valérie Pécresse, president of the Ile-de-France region, will inaugurate the new Michel Hidalgo space at the National Football Centre in Clairefontaine (Yvelines) on Tuesday 05/09/2023 at 11:00 CET, announced the Fédération Française de Football on 30/08/2023.

This tribute to an iconic figure in French football will take place in the presence of Mrs Monique Hidalgo, the widow of the former coach of the 1984 European champion French team, who died on 26/03/2020 at the age of 87 (born on 22/03/1933), added the FFF.

Numerous personalities, including Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national team, and his staff, as well as Jean Tigana, president of the Club des Internationaux de Football (CIF), will attend the inauguration, which was decided by the FFF executive committee on 13/07/2021.

Developed over an additional 4.8 hectares, the Michel-Hidalgo space includes the FFF's Football Research Centre, two new pitches, a sports building with a weights room and changing rooms, two accommodation units, a restaurant and meeting room, according to…
