Serie A TIM: tender launched for broadcasting rights in the DACH region post-2024

The Lega Serie A has launched a call for tenders for the broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM in the DACH zone (a predominantly German-speaking zone, with D standing for Deutschland/Germany, A for Austria/Austria and CH for Confédération Helvétique/Switzerland) for the cycle beginning with the 2024-25 season, on 25/08/2023. Broadcasters can acquire these rights for three or five seasons (2024-2027 or 2024-2029).

This is the first international market for which the Italian League has issued a call for tenders for these rights. It also includes the broadcasting rights for the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa and the EA Sports Supercup for the same period. The deadline for submitting bids is 25/09/2023.

While the international media rights to the Serie A TIM for the 2021-2024 cycle have been awarded to Swiss media and marketing rights agency Infront for €139m per year (excluding USA and MENA), the Italian league has decided to market these rights directly to broadcasters for the next cycle.
