In collaboration with the AFE, LALIGA has launched a campaign to promote its new concussion protocol, "a landmark moment in the protection of football players' health," announced the Spanish football league on 30/08/2023.

The campaign, entitled "Juega Seguro" ("Play Safe"), has been developed in conjunction with the clubs' medical staff to ensure compliance with the new protocol. It will be displayed in the changing rooms and training centres of LALIGA EA Sports and LALIGA Hypermotion clubs.

The protocol detects concussion according to five categories of symptoms:
• "Physical: headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, blank stare, blurred vision, oversensitivity to light and/or noise, neck pain, etc.
• Emotional: sadness, depression, anxiety, irritability, aggressiveness.
• Cognitive: loss of consciousness, loss of memory, difficulty concentrating, confusion, uneasiness, delayed responses, slurred speech, disorientation.
• Sleep Disturbance: drowsiness.
• Impaired Balance: instability."
