Rugby/EPCR: Investec succeeds Heineken as title sponsor of the Champions Cup for 2023-2028

Investec, an international banking and wealth management group based in London (England) and Johannesburg (South Africa), has become the title sponsor of the Champions Cup for five seasons (2023-2028), announced European Professional Club Rugby on 31/08/2023. The competition will now be known as the Investec Champions Cup.

"Through this partnership, Investec and EPCR will work together to keep evolving the pinnacle of global club rugby, demonstrate Investec's international growth ambitions and demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, inclusion and diversity. This complements the recent launch of EPCR's new sustainability strategy (impACT)," explained the body.

"The partnership marks Investec's return to rugby" and is its largest sponsorship contract in this field, according to the British group. Investec has already partnered with the RFU, Aotearoa Super Rugby (New Zealand's rugby union competition played in 2021 and 2022), the Rugby Championship (or "Tri-Nations") and the Investec International Rugby Academy (South Africa).
