Third party ownership of players: "Our model (of TPO) is the future" (Nelio Lucas, Doyen Sports)

"Our model is the future. We are an alternative source of financing in a context where there is no more money (for clubs). Look at Spain! We started there in 2011, during the crisis. Our investments have had an impact, to Atletico Madrid (Liga BBVA) for example, who was able to keep its best players because of us. Without Doyen Sports, the club would never have been Spanish champions and a Champions League finalist last year," said Nelio Lucas, president and CEO of Doyen Sports, an investment fund specialising in sport, in the magazine Challenges on 11/12/2014.

"The same for FC Porto (POR) and Sevilla FC (Liga BBVA, who work with us and have had good results, (they are doing) much better than French clubs. We can not prohibit a system that allows clubs to be more competitive," added Nelio Lucas.
