Juventus FC: launch of an esports team on Rocket League which will participate in the IRC in 2023

Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) has launched an esports team on the video game Rocket League (published by Psyonix, football car game) in order to participate in the Italian Rocket League Championship (IRC) tournament, from 12/09 to 09/11/2023, announced the club on 05/09/2023. This team is created in partnership with the Italian esports structure Dsyre.

"The game has more than 87 million players worldwide, and has doubled his audience in the last five years. Rocket League's competitive environment, with over 300 tournaments in 2022, saw a 272% increase in viewership over the previous three-year period, reaching a peak of nearly 470,000 concurrent viewers for the RLCS finals (the official Rocket League world championship) in 2023," added Juventus.

The Turin club had already launched an esports team in collaboration with Dsyre, on the video game FIFA 23 (published by EA Sports), on 20/12/2022, in order to compete in the eSerieA TIM 2023, a competition organised by the Lega Serie A, which they subsequently won.
