Rugby World Cup 2023: Macron (7 teams), the most represented equipment supplier among the 10 brands

Macron is the most represented equipment supplier at the Rugby World Cup 2023, with seven federations under contract (Samoa, Wales, Romania, Scotland, Italy, Georgia and Portugal).

The Italian brand is therefore providing kits for 35% of the 20 participating nations, and is ahead of Nike, which has three teams under contract (South Africa, Argentina and Fiji), as well as Canterbury (Ireland and Japan) and Umbro (England and Chile) with two teams each. Macron thus succeeds Canterbury, a British-based brand of New Zealand origin, which was the most represented equipment supplier at the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

A total of 10 brands will be represented at the 2023 edition (Asics, Flash Sports, Force XV - Ô Sports, Mizuno, Le Coq Sportif and adidas). Although adidas only has one team under contract, New Zealand, the German group pays the highest amount (€10.8m per year).
