Manchester City FC (Barclays Premier League) launched, in conjunction with its two sister clubs New York City FC (MLS, USA-CAN) and Melbourne City FC (A-League, AUS), the "Cityzens Giving" programme, allowing supporters to help fund one of six charity actions offered in six different countries, the club announced on 26/11/2014.

Every fan who is a season ticket holder of one of the three clubs will be given £5 (€6.3) from the Manchester City group to donate into one of the six proposed charities. Each season ticket holder has until 24/12/2014 to place these £5 into the charity project of their choice. The supporters are encouraged to supplement the £5 with their own money. The cities of Manchester (England), New York (USA), Melbourne (Australia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Cape Town (South Africa) and Barranquilla (Colombia) are the locations with charities involved the Cityzens Giving project.
