US Open 2023/France: 3.6 million cumulative viewers on Eurosport, a "record since 2014"

The US Open Grand Slam recorded a cumulative audience of 3.6 million viewers on the channels of the Eurosport pay-TV group (Warner Bros. Discovery) in France, from 28/08 to 10/09/2023, an increase of 64% compared to the 2022 edition, announced the group on 11/09/2023.

This is the "best edition since 2014 on Eurosport," said the group. Serbia's Novak Djokovic won his fourth US Open against Russia's Daniil Medvedev (6-3, 7-6, 6-3), taking his Grand Slam win total to 24, while American Cori Gauff secured her first Grand Slam title against Belarus's Aryna Sabalenka (2-6, 6-3, 6-2).

Media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of Eurosport, extended its exclusive rights to broadcast the US Open in its entirety in France from 2023 on 27/03/2023. Warner Bros. Discovery had already extended its rights to broadcast the tournament over the 2023-2027 cycle (five editions) in 45 European territories, including 42 on an exclusive basis, on 14/02/2023.
