VfB Stuttgart: a turnover of €155m (+4.2%) & net loss of €16.6m in 2022

VfB Stuttgart (Bundesliga) have posted a turnover of €155m for the financial year 2022 (01/01 to 31/12/2022), up 4.2% on the previous year (€148.8m), announced the club following its annual general assembly on 10/09/2023.

"The two costly exceptional effects from the losses due to the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic on the one hand and the investments for the reconstruction of the stadium on the other hand have a full impact on this year's balance sheet. In addition, we have invested in sport with transfers, the construction of the rehabilitation and athletics hall and higher expenditure for the youth performance centre," said Alexander Wehrle, chairman of the board at VfB Stuttgart.

The German club also announced an EBITDA of €13.8m in 2022 (compared with €30.1m in 2021), and a net loss of €16.6m (compared with €1.2m the previous year).
