"The limited number of lots has two objectives for us: to maximise access to our league and to minimise the cost to the consumer. It's a real commitment. There's the economic crisis, there's inflation, there's a drop in purchasing power. Five lots are on offer for Ligue 1, including two for live matches only, with bids of €530m for lot 1 (which includes the two top fixtures) and €270m for lot 2 (which includes six exclusive matches). A broadcaster wishing to acquire all Ligue 1 rights would have to pay a minimum total of €825m per year, including the three magazine (television programme) lots.
