The kit supplier market for clubs in the European Top 5 leagues in 2014-15

The kit supplier market for the European Top 5 leagues (Liga BBVA, Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM, Ligue 1) is at a total of €468m for all 98 clubs in 2014-15.

The amount for the kit supplier contract per club is, on average, highest in the Premier League at €8.5m, compared to €4.9m for La Liga, €3.7m in the Bundesliga, €3.5m for the Serie A and €2.8m for Ligue 1. The overall average for a kit supplier contract for a European Top 5 club is €4.7m. These contracts are up 20% from the 2013-14 season (€390m total over 98 clubs), but only the biggest clubs have benefited from this increase. The record contract between the German brand adidas and Manchester United FC (€94.2m per year from 2015-16 to 2024-25) will make the two-tiered nature (large divide between big-revenue clubs and smaller ones) of the kit supplier market much more visible in 2015-16.
