UEFA: publication of the "The European Club Talent and Competition Landscape" (2023 report)

UEFA has published the 2023 edition of its report entitled "The European Club Talent and Competition Landscape" on 14/09/2023. This study, which the European Confederation is presenting in a traditional document as well as on a dedicated mini-website, takes a look at the state of European football in 2023.

Key figures include:
• A record 209 million fans attended at least one match at their stadium in 2022-23
• 17 clubs welcomed more than one million fans over the course of the season
• 33 top flight men's leagues recorded higher overall attendances compared to the last full pre-pandemic season (2018-19) and 14 of these recorded the highest figures "for at least a decade with all-time record crowds recorded in England, France, and Switzerland"
• €7.2bn were spent by European clubs on the transfer market in the summer of 2023, 3% more than in the summer of 2019, when the previous record was set
