The 2023 WNBA regular season, which ran from 19/05 to 10/09/2023, posted a 21% increase in viewers in the United States on the channels of the American broadcasting groups ESPN and CBS (owned by Paramount Global) compared with the 2022 season, announced the North American league on 13/09/2023.

Among the figures communicated by the WNBA:

• 36 million unique viewers watched the 2023 regular season, the highest total since 2008 and a 27% increase over 2022

• An average of 627,000 viewers watched the regular season on ABC (ESPN), the most watched regular season on the free-TV channel in 11 years

• 850,000 average viewers watched the 2023 All-Star Game on ABC, the most in 16 years

• 14 million hours of regular-season games were broadcast on Ion Television group's channels

• 373 million video views were recorded on the WNBA's social networks, an increase of 96% compared with the 2022 season

  • The broadcasting rights to the WNBA are held in the United States by the groups ESPN Sector: pay-TV sports channel; sports radio; broadcast in English and SpanishMajor countries and broadcasting
