Around 291,000 spectators attended the eight games on Matchday 2 of the Rugby World Cup 2023 played in six different stadiums in France from 14 to 17/09/2023, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 18/09/2023. This total represents an average fill rate of 91.4%, compared with 93.9% on Matchday 1 played from 08 to 10/09/2023.

The match between France and Uruguay (27-12) at the Decathlon Arena - Stade Pierre-Mauroy (50,096 capacity) in Villeneuve-d'Ascq (Nord, near Lille) on 14/09/2023 drew 48,821 spectators (97.5% fill rate), the best attendance on Matchday 2.

The best stadium fill rate was posted at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard (42,152 capacity) in Saint-Étienne (Loire), which welcomed 41,294 spectators, for a a 98% fill rate, for the Australia - Fiji match (15-22) on 17/09/2023.

The first two matches of the Rugby World Cup 2023 played at the Allianz Riviera (35,983 capacity) in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) posted the lowest fill rates on Matchday 2. England - Japan (34-12, on 17/09) drew 30,500 spectators (84.8%), while Wales - Portugal (28-8, on 16/09) drew just 28,700…
