Demain le Sport: "Web3 responds to the majority of rights holders' strategies" (N. Julia, Sorare)

"We're not trying to compete with anyone (video games, collectables): we're offering a new market. One of the motivations for rights holders to invest in Web3 is to engage fans and make them want to consume more sport. Web3 is a pillar that responds to the majority of rights holders' strategies: not a single one of them doesn't want to develop its audiences or its revenues," said Nicolas Julia, CEO of Sorare, during the "Demain le Sport" event, on the Studio 104 stage at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, in Paris (FRA), on 19/09/2023.

"Rightsholders have a wide range of motivations. They also include international development, particularly for leagues seeking new audiences. Many of these leagues, including the NBA, are Sorare shareholders, so we are fully in line with their internationalisation strategy.
