American David Haggerty (66) was re-elected president of the International Tennis Federation for a further four years (2024-2027) at the body's annual general meeting in Cancun (Mexico) on 24/09/2023.

David Haggerty, who will begin his third consecutive term at the head of the body after the 2015-2018 and 2019-2023 cycles, received 318 of the 436 votes cast, or 72.94% of the votes. Dietloff Von Arnim, president of the German Tennis Federation, was the only other candidate in the election.

David Haggerty is behind the changes to the format of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup (formerly the Fed Cup) initiated in 2018. The ITF has entrusted the organisation of the men's competition to the Spanish investment fund Kosmos in a deal valued at $3bn (€2.4bn as of 26/02/2018). After four editions, the ITF terminated the contract on 12/01/2023 due to Kosmos' failure to pay the players of the eight teams entered in the 2022 Davis Cup finals.
