DAZN: around a hundred redundancies to be made across the United Kingdom and the Netherlands (press)

The OTT sports platform DAZN is to make around 100 redundancies across the UK (where its headquarters are situated in London, ENG) and the Netherlands in September 2023, according to several media reports on 22/09/2023.

DAZN is said to have decided to reduce the workforce of its subsidiary Team Whistle, a US sports media and entertainment company acquired as part of the takeover of pay-TV group Eleven Sports (Team Whistle had previously been acquired by Eleven on 29/03/2021), on 15/02/2023. The streaming platform will also be reducing its workforce in its finance, sales, content production and editorial departments, as well as in its technology department in Amsterdam (NED).

Employees affected by the redundancies will have 45 days to apply for internal vacancies. The platform had already made several waves of redundancies at its headquarters in May and October 2022.
