Women's Euro 2025: TF1 group acquires exclusive broadcasting rights to all 31 matches for France

The French private free-TV group TF1 has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the entire UEFA Women's Euro 2025 (hosted by Switzerland) in France (31 matches), announced the company on 28/09/2023.

"We’re delighted to offer extensive coverage to women's sport, so that it can reach the widest possible audience. Acquiring the rights to the UEFA Women's Euro 2025, one of the stand-out sporting events of 2025, is further proof of our ambition of making the biggest events accessible to French viewers free of charge," said François Pellissier, executive vice president business & sport at TF1.

According to the French sports daily L'Équipe, TF1 acquired the rights for a sum near to €20m. The TF1 and Canal+ groups acquired the broadcasting rights to the Women's Euro 2022 for an estimated €13m on 04/10/2019. TF1 broadcast 14 matches of the competition (including those of Les Bleues), while the pay and free-TV group broadcast all the matches.
