European Top 5: social media communities of the 96 clubs (October 2023)

• The clubs in Europe's Top 5 added a total of 25.9 million new followers last month, taking their total number of followers on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) to nearly 2.5 billion.
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) was the club with the most followers with 351.3 million, ahead of FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports, 316.9 million) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 205.7 million).
• Barça was the club that posted the best increase in its fan base in September, with 2.6 million new followers.
• Getafe CF (LALIGA EA Sports) and AFC Bournemouth (Premier League) posted the best percentage growth in their communities, with +23.6% and +15.4% increases respectively in their total number of followers.
• Nine clubs in the Top 5 have a total of over 100 million followers, including four from the Premier League, two from LaLiga EA Sports, one from Ligue 1 Uber Eats, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Serie A TIM.
