NBA: Decathlon extends licensed products partnership for 6 seasons (2023-2029)

Decathlon has extended its official partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the design, production and marketing of officially licensed NBA products for an additional six seasons (2023-2029), announced the French-based sporting goods design, production and distribution group on 03/10/2023.

This new agreement has been extended to new territories, News Tank has learned. While Europe and parts of Asia and Latin America were already covered by the partnership signed on 21/01/2021, China and Brazil were not. These territories are now included in the distribution agreement, which covers "more than 1,700 stores" worldwide. The North American region is not covered by the agreement, as the NBA already has its own contracts in this territory.

76 product references were designed and marketed during the first partnership (footwear and technical clothing). Decathlon will now be marketing lifestyle apparel (hoodies, trousers, socks, etc.) and footwear in the colours of the NBA and its franchises, as well as NBA branded baskets and accessories.
