LALIGA: LALIGA Tech, the Spanish league's joint venture with Globant, rebranded as Sportian

LALIGA Tech, the technology solutions arm of the Spanish Professional Football League, has renewed its identity and become Sportian, announced LALIGA on 02/10/2023.

"LaLiga Tech evolves into Sportian, combining Globant's extensive track record in technology-driven business and industry transformation with LALIGA's expertise as a leader in the leisure and entertainment sector, creating unique experiences for football and sports fans," explained the Spanish body.

LALIGA Tech was created by LALIGA to "accelerate the digital transformation of the sports and entertainment sector" on 28/09/2021. The Spanish league and Globant, an international company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and specialised in digital transformation consulting, subsequently signed an agreement to create a joint venture on 28/09/2022. Sportian is 51% owned by Globant.
