2030 FIFA World Cup: "Ready to make the best World Cup in history" (RFEF/FPF/FRMF)

The Football Federations of Spain (RFEF), Portugal (FPF) and Morocco (FRMF) are "ready to make the best World Cup in history!" they announced on 04/10/2023 after the FIFA Council decided to entrust them with the joint organisation of the 2030 Men's World Cup, with the exception of the first three matches, which will take place in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to celebrate the centenary of the competition first played in 1930 in Montevideo (URU).

Morocco officially joined the Portuguese and Spanish bid in March 2023. Pedro Sanchez, the Spanish Prime Minister, had previously proposed a joint bid by the three countries to the Maghreb country on 19/11/2018, however UEFA opposed the initiative at the time. Spain and Portugal then relaunched their united bid on 04/06/2021, without Morocco. Already a five-time candidate (for the 1994, 1998, 2006, 2010 and 2026 editions), Morocco will now host the competition for the very first time in 2030. It will also be a first for Portugal, but not for Spain, the host country in 1982.
