DFL: Tobias Kaufmann (VfB Stuttgart) named director of communications from 01/01/2024

Tobias Kaufmann (GER) will become director of communications of the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) from 01/01/2024, announced the German League on 05/10/2023. Kaufmann, currently director of communications at VfB Stuttgart (Bundesliga), will replace Philip Sagioglou, who left the DFL at the end of the 2022-23 season.

"Tobias Kaufmann is an experienced communicator with a good sense for developments in social and sports policy and a great passion for football. He is already familiar with many of the DFL's key issues, not least thanks to his successful work in Stuttgart and Cologne and as a member of our league's media committee. We would like to thank the VfB management, and in particular CEO Alexander Wehrle, for their understanding," said Steffen Merkel, co-CEO of the DFL.
