UEFA: joint bid by Italy Turkey to host Euro 2032 validated and to be awarded on 10/10/2023

UEFA has written to the Italian (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio) and Turkish (Turkiye Futbol Federasyonu) football federations to confirm that their joint bid to host Euro 2032 has been validated and will be submitted to its executive committee for consideration, announced the European confederation on 04/10/2023.

The awarding of the organisation of Euro 2032, for which only the Italy and Turkey joint bid was submitted, as well as Euro 2028, for which the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) and Ireland are joint candidates, will be approved by the UEFA executive committee at its next meeting, scheduled to take place in Nyon (Switzerland) on 10/10/2023.

Turkey had initially submitted two bids, one for Euro 2028, the other for the 2032 edition, before announcing a merger of its bid with that of Italy for Euro 2032 on 28/07/2023. As a result, the country's bid to host for Euro 2028 was withdrawn.
