DAZN Italy: launch of a pay-per-view offer, first event (boxing) accessible for €9.99

The OTT sports platform DAZN has launched a pay-per-view feature for the broadcast of its sports competitions in Italy from October 2023. For the time being, it should mainly concern combat sports.

"Evolving and being able to experiment on a global scale is a major asset in constantly improving the experience for sports fans. We are a constantly evolving company that puts our subscribers' passion first. The introduction of pay-per-view in Italy, even though it is still in its early stages, represents an opportunity to bring more and more fans closer to selected sporting events and competitions in a flexible way," explained Stefano Azzi, CEO of DAZN Italy.

The purchase of pay-per-view events is only available to DAZN subscribers. The first event to be offered via this new feature is the boxing match between influencer and artist KSI and boxer Tommy Fury, scheduled in Manchester (ENG) on Saturday 14/10/2023. An additional cost of €9.99 will be required to watch the fight.
