Formula 1: Pirelli (tyres) extends as exclusive supplier for three seasons (2025-2027)

The Italian brand Pirelli has extended its contract as exclusive tyre supplier to Formula 1 for three seasons, i.e. the 2025-2027 cycle, "with the option to extend for an additional year (up to and including 2028)," announced Formula One Group on 10/10/2023. This contract also covers the Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships, which are also organised by the body.

Throughout this partnership, which began in 2011 and would run for a total of 18 seasons if the extension clause were to be activated, "Pirelli has taken a leadership role in the research and development of sustainable tyre solutions and supports the environmental sustainability targets set by Formula 1, as the sport aims to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030," explained Formula One Group, which receives an annual fee of €11.3m from the Italian group. The tyres supplied by Pirelli will be FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified from the 2024 season.
