Eredivisie: ESPN extends media rights in the Netherlands for the 2025-2030 cycle (€750m)

The pay-TV group ESPN (The Walt Disney Company) has extended its Eredivisie media rights in the Netherlands for the 2025-2030 cycle (five seasons), announced the Dutch professional league on 10/10/2023.

The deal is worth a total of €750m, including a €70m signing bonus, or €136m per season (excluding bonuses), according to local media. As part of the new agreement, ESPN is also committed to broadcasting the men's second division (Keuken Kampioen Divisie) and the women's first division (Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie) from 2024-25 (the last season of the current contract).

ESPN has held the rights to broadcast the Eredivisie in the Netherlands since 2013 and until 2025, for an estimated annual fee of €80m, according to media reports. The Dutch public broadcasting group NOS holds the rights to broadcast match highlights until 2024-25.
