Golf/Ryder Cup 2023: 271,000 spectators at the event & a record audience in the United Kingdom

The 44^th edition of the Ryder Cup, held at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome (Italy) from 29/09 to 01/10/2023 (won by Team Europe), drew 271,191 spectators from 100 different countries throughout the event, according to the organisers on 10/10/2023.

Key figures for the Ryder Cup 2023 include:

• a 38% increase in viewership was recorded on the channels of pay-TV operator Sky Sports in the UK compared with the 2021 edition (+25% vs 2018), making this 2023 edition the most-watched Ryder Cup ever on Sky Sports

• 197.6 million views were recorded on the Ryder Cup's social networks, "with a total of 26.7million interactions, contributing to the channels gaining 500,000 new followers"

• 2,653 posts were made across all social networks (Ryder Cup Europe, Ryder Cup USA and Ryder Cup) during the week of the competition, generating more than 600 million impressions and page views

• 347 million impressions were recorded on the Ryder Cup Europe social networks, an increase of 117% compared with the 2018 Ryder Cup (160 million)
