VfL Wolfsburg: opening of an office in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the club's 2^nd in Asia

As part of its "internationalisation strategy", VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) has opened an office in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, announced the club on 12/10/2023. This is VfL Wolfsburg's second office in Asia, following one set up in Beijing (China) in 2017.

"A Wolfsburg delegation, led by managing director Michael Meeske, travelled to Kuala Lumpur in late August to formally inaugurate the new site together with over 180 invited guests from media, sport, politics and business," explained the club. Potential future developments include "strategic partnerships with local football teams, as well as options for a marketing tour with VfL teams and possible friendly matches."

"Malaysia is an intriguing market for us, which boasts economic as well as a lot of footballing potential and also offers good access to other Southeast Asian markets. In addition, Malaysia has long maintained a variety of relationships with Germany and also with VfL, as our existing corporate partnerships show.
