The Liverpool FC Foundation has raised £950,000 (€1.1m) at a gala dinner held on Thursday 12/10/2023, announced the Premier League club on 17/10/2023.

The event took place at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and was attended by "more than 500 guests enjoying a night of entertainment." The fund-raising event was dedicated in particular to financing a new neonatal unit at Alder Hey Children's Hospital (Liverpool).

Part of the donations will also be used for "developing LFC Foundation's 'Move' programme for children with respiratory and endocrine conditions," explained the club.

"It was an amazing event and fantastic to have so many people come together to help raise an incredible amount for the two causes. These funds will make a huge difference to both LFC Foundation and Alder Hey Children's Hospital," said Matt Parish, chief executive of the LFC Foundation.
