Serie A TIM/TV rights 2024-2029: offers of €700m per year from DAZN & €200m from Sky Italia (press)

The OTT sports platform DAZN and pay-TV operator Sky Italia have reportedly made bids of €700m and €200m per year respectively for the 2024-2029 domestic media rights to Serie A TIM, for a total of €900m per year and a total sum of €4.5bn for the five seasons during the period, according to several Italian media reports on 17/10/2023.

DAZN and Sky Italia currently hold the rights to broadcast the Serie A TIM in Italy over the 2021-2024 cycle for an annual sum of €927.5m. The OTT platform broadcasts all matches, including seven out of ten on an exclusive basis per matchday, for an annual fee of €840m. Sky Italia co-broadcasts three games each matchday and pays €87.5m per year for these rights.

The bids submitted by DAZN and Sky Italia for the new cycle propose a similar arrangement to the rights for the 2021-2024 cycle, with all matches for DAZN and three games on Sky Italia each matchday, according to Italian media.
