Manchester United FC: opening of a new £7m facility dedicated to the women's team

Manchester United FC (Premier League) has opened a new facility dedicated to its women's section (professional team and training centre) at the Carrington training centre (a suburb of Manchester, England), announced the club on 18/10/2023. The cost of the project is estimated at £7m (€8m) according to the British press.

The new building includes:
• weight training and rehabilitation rooms, changing rooms and a jacuzzi
• A restaurant for the women's first team with a buffet area and a lounge
• Video analysis and meeting rooms for technical staff

"The building is part of significant ongoing investment and improvement work to enhance facilities for all our players at Carrington.  That is mirrored by investment in facilities at Littleton Road and The Cliff to ensure we are providing the best possible training facilities for players and staff from youth to first teams," explained the club.

Construction of the new facilities began in February 2023 and was completed "before the start of the 2023-24 Women’s Super League season (01/10/2023)," added Manchester United.
