The Spanish-language free and pay-TV group TelevisaUnivision has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights in Mexico for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, announced the IOC on 19/10/2023.

"This partnership between the IOC and TelevisaUnivision includes at least 200 hours of coverage of the Olympic Games on TelevisaUnivision's Canal 5 free-to-air television platform. The free-to-air broadcast will be complemented with pay TV coverage on TelevisaUnivision's TUDN channel, as well as simulcast coverage on ViX, the company's streaming platform," explained the IOC.

The rights to broadcast the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (held in 2021) in Mexico were held by TelevisaUnivision and the Mexican media conglomerates Televisión Azteca and Grupo Imagen.
