Bologna FC 1909 (Serie A TIM) posted a turnover of €82.8m for the 2022-23 financial year (from 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), up 26% on 2021-22 (€52.8m), announced the Italian club on 24/10/2023.

At the end of the financial year, the Italian club posted a positive EBITDA of €18.4m and a net loss of €16.3m, a significant decrease on the €46.7m deficit at the end of the 2021-22 financial year. "The annual result has improved significantly thanks to substantial revenue growth. The loss, which has already been covered by the shareholder thanks to capital injections of around €19m over the year, represents a further investment in the team's growth and the consequent enhancement of the company's brand," said Bologna FC.

"Commercial revenues increased by €5m to €17.9m. Transfer-related capital gains (not included in turnover) increased by €19.3m to €34.5m, compared with €15.2m in 2021-22. For the first time after three years of the Covid-19 pandemic, the stadiums were able to operate at full capacity, resulting in an increase in matchday revenues," added the Emilia-Romagna club.
