FIFA Women's World Cup: a Belgium-Germany-Netherlands joint bid to host the 2027 tournament

The Royal Belgian Football Federation (RBFA), the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) and the German Football Association (DFB) have announced "the official launch of their joint bid to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027," on 25/10/2023.

The project, entitled "Breaking New Ground" (BNG2027), brings together the three federations from the UEFA zone, following their declaration of interest submitted by the deadline of 21/04/2023. The Women's World Cup 2027 will be the second 32-team edition, following the 2023 tournament held in Australia and New Zealand.

Three other declarations of interest have also been submitted, by Brazil (CONMEBOL), South Africa (CAF) and the USA-Mexico pairing (Concacaf). The FIFA Congress (which gathers all 211 member associations) will, for the first time, decide on the host country or countries via a public vote on Friday 17/05/2024 (in Bangkok, Thailand). The FIFA Council will pre-select a maximum of three bids to be submitted to the FIFA Congress.
