Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) have published the club's sustainability report regarding future actions and the main results of the CSR initiatives implemented during the 2022-23 season, on 16/10/2023.

Among the key elements of the 2022-23 Bundesliga runner-up's report:
• "Around 40%, i.e. some 32,500 spectators, are currently using public transportation, walking or cycling to the Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity) on matchdays;
• The club's water consumption in 2022-23 was 70,553 m3, which is 8,860 m3 less than in 2021-22;
• The amount of waste recycled by the club in 2022-23 is 434 tonnes, compared with 408 tonnes in 2021-22 (+6.5%);
• The stadium's CO2 emissions have been reduced by 3997.8 tonnes compared to 2021-22 thanks to the use of green electricity in 2022-23;
• Around €407,000 has been donated to the club's Foundation."

"Sustainability has become part of our business strategy.  It is a matter of using resources in a more responsible and above all more considerate manner," said Marieke Köhler, head of the corporate responsibility department at Borussia Dortmund.
