Germany: the federation extends its partnership with Coca Cola until the end of 2017

The DFB (Deutscher Fußball-Bund, the German Football Federation) renewed its partnership with Coca Cola, the American beverage producer group, until 31/12/2017, announced the federation on 18/12/2014. Coca Cola remains the official beverage of the German national team, and continues its association with the official supporters' club of the national team, created in 2003, and now with over 50,000 members.

The annual amount of the contract between Coca Cola and DFB, partners since 1981, is estimated at €2m. Coca Cola is one of six premium partners of the German federation, along with Bitburger (beer), Commerzbank (bank), Deutsche Post (post office), T-Mobile (mobile operator) and SAP (computers and software).

  • The two German national teams (male and female) are first in the current FIFA rankings (Federation Internationale de Football Association) as of 22/12/2014.
  • The male German national team won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on 13/07/2014 (1-0 against Argentina).
